FRAN TREGURTHA – R.M.T.

Registered Massage Therapist & Osteopathic Manual Practice Student (thesis writer)

Frances is a Registered Massage Therapist with nearly two decades of clinical practice.

She has worked in a variety of settings, focussing on general clinical practice. She spent 4 years in long term care working with frail elderly patients and those suffering from dementia as well as providing comforting end of life care. She has worked with world class athletes, weekend warriors, couch potatoes, pregnant women, babies and everything in between.

Frances has completed the 5 year Osteopathic Manual Practice Program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, recognized across Canada as providing the highest quality osteopathic education in the country. She is now working on completing the research component of the program in order to qualify and register as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner with the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners.

Through her many years of clinical practice, Frances has developed a blended approach to treatment using elements of traditional massage therapy as well as knowledge, approaches and techniques from her osteopathic education and training. The two disciplines are beautifully symbiotic and complementary to one another. Through her osteopathic training, Frances has also gained a deeper appreciation of the value of massage therapy and its potential benefits.

Frances is fascinated with the complex and ever-evolving world of pain science and research, and strives to incorporate the latest research findings into her clinical practice.

Frances is excited to be a part of the team at Ancaster Osteopathy & Wellness, and she looks forward to helping you achieve your personal health goals and live a better life.
